Naturally decaffeinated using a Mountain Water Process (MWP). The caffeine from this Puro coffee is extracted by immersing green beans in pure glacier meltwater from Pico de Orizaba, the highest volcano in North America. The result? A coffee that is 99.9% caffeine free but still full of flavour; caramel, toffee and nut.
Mountain Water Process
- Coffee is immersed in water, which separates oils and caffeine
- The water is then filtered to remove caffeine
- Finally the water soluble oils are returned to the coffee

CAFEMEX are found in the region of Chiapas, coffee here is grown at 800-1200m above sea level by more than 1000 smallholder producers who hand pick the beans, wash, clean by hand and then sun dry their harvest.
