Life, it’s all about Balance

After conscious cultivation and the preparation that follows, Puro coffee beans then traverse the oceans in mass to reach our roastery and a metamorphosis sees them transform from light green to a dark brown. It’s a beautiful journey, but one that releases carbon into the atmosphere.

Whilst we want Puro coffee to continue warming hearts, we don’t want it to contribute to warming the planet. Puro has been on the carbon neutral path since 2016, ensuring that the carbon generated from its cultivation, milling, road haulage, ocean shipping and roasting is carbon balanced offset by REDD+

Puro’s key activities are already carbon neutral until 2024

Carbon neutral figures for previous years:
2016 | 2017 | 2018 | 2019 | 2020 | 2021 | 2022

Estimated figures for 2023:

tonnes CO2
– Coffee Cultivation –

tonnes CO2
– Coffee Milling –

tonnes CO2
– Road Haulage –

tonnes CO2
– Ocean Shipping –

tonnes CO2
– Coffee Roasting –

m² Forest Protected
– REDD+ Approved –

Avoiding the release of stored carbon and re-absorbing atmospheric CO2.

NB. Currently the Puro Rainforest Reserve in Vietnam is the only Puro reserve that has been setup and managed as a carbon offset project.
